On this day in 1986, Rory was a guest on the Paul Jones Rhythm and Blues Show on BBC Radio 2. He performed a short set that included ‘When My Baby She Left Me’, ‘Continental Op’ and ‘Off the Handle’ and also took part in an interview, where he shared some of his own favourite songs. Thanks to the usual generosity of Rob Phaneuf, I’m sharing the full interview below. Unfortunately, due to copyright claims, only ‘When My Baby She Left Me’ is included here, but you can check out the other tracks on the recent BBC Collection release. Not to tease but that version of ‘Continental Op’ is probably my very favourite!
