On 17 March 1985, Dave Fanning hosted a special St Patrick’s Day programme on RTÉ Radio, featuring songs and interviews with a variety of Irish artists. In the final segment of the show, Rory was invited into the studio for an interview and short performance. I’ve been trying to get my hands on a copy of this interview for many years, so I was delighted when the wonderful Rob Phaneuf came to the rescue once again and dug up his copy to share with me and to distribute on Rewriting Rory.
