I am always so grateful when we receive Rory recordings or footage that are currently unavailable online and have the opportunity to share them across our Rewriting Rory channels. In this post, I want to thank Owen McGee for recently sharing with me this wonderful 1992 interview with Rory by Marcus Connaughton. It comes from the Bluestime Radio Show on RTÉ. The interview was recorded when Rory was back in Ireland for the Temple Bar Blues Festival. It is a great little interview, with Rory sounding relaxed and enthusiastic as he talks about the blues and his recent induction into the Fender Hall of Fame. Rory also performs ‘I Can’t Be Satisfied’ and ‘Pistol Slapper Blues’/’Keep Your Hands Off Her’ live in the studio.
