Rory Gallagher Headliner at Tegelen Blues Rock
Rory Gallagher is the top attraction in Tegelen this year
The 41-year-old Irish guitar virtuoso Rory Gallagher is the headliner of the sixth blues rock festival to be held on Saturday September 2 in Tegelen. Gallagher is the undisputed winner in a field of eight groups and artists. The program in Telegen starts at 12.30pm and lasts until 11pm. The blues marathon is being set up by Buro Pinkpop and Mojo Concerts. Tickets cost $30 in presale.
Pinkpop boss Jan Smeets expects that having the hero Gallagher in attendance will ensure a sold-out theatre for the first time in the history of the blues rock festival. He will perform in the 50-seat open-air theater De Doolhof.
Another attraction is the American group The Paladins, who recently shone at the Belgian rhythm and blues festival in Peer. The full program looks like this:
12.30-13.00 Little Tony, Greyhound Levi & Arno
13.30-14.30 Blues Connection & Eelco Gelling
15.00-16.00 Roland van Campenhout & Raymond van het Gronewoud
16.30-17.30 Larry Johnson
19.30-20.30 The Johnny Mars Blues Band
21.00-23.00 Rory Gallagher and Band
