It was an exhibition of old school rock starring a top musician. Rory Gallagher “warmed up” three thousand people yesterday in the Gijón bullring who came enthusiastically to see one of the already mythical figures of rock. Everything was expected, but a very good concert. Rory Gallagher did not disappoint and with a wise mixture of hard rock and blues he won over an audience that never stopped communicating with the Irish singer.

In the interpretation of themes with a “blues” flavour, it was where Rory Gallagher made his extraordinary mastery of the guitar more evident. Without a doubt it is his strength and in this way he makes up for some vocal limitations. There was, of course, hard rock and a bottle of gin even “flew” onto the stage, which was skilfully dodged by the Irish singer. The summer celebrations in Gijón are off to a good start. With good rock.
